The converter would work great ,as far as I am concerned, but the school wants a complete fiber optic replacement and I don't believe it is possible to get that speed and cover the distance of 2700 ft. Have any Ideas?

Thanks

Omnitron Systems

This particular product will accept 10/100/1000Mb electrical inputs and convert to 1000Mb fiber (Singlemode or Multimode, depending on the required reach). But there are many products available.

Hope this helps!
