I have an intel pro 1000 PF Dual port fiber card and would like to test the port without connecting to a switch. I am waiting for the switch to arrive which which will take another week. In the meantime can I connect an Duplex LC 62.5/125 Fiber patch cable between the two fiber ports and do some simple loopback test? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
