yes, but that means 2 connectors through a uniter where 80% of the time it is .75dB, the other 20% it could be as low as .50dB

nothing eh? ok. i'm now 87.5% sure that the correct answer to my own question is actually 0.3dB with the reading taken against a referance connector. This is taken from ISO/IEC 14763-3. Any thoughts?

Hi there! Please can anybody say with 100% confidence what the maximum allowed insertion loss is on a field terminated connector on MMF? it is either .3 OR .5dB but depending on what time of day it is, what people had for breakfast etc etc you get different answers. could the standard (s) from which the correct figure also be named here? that would be fantastic! thanks for your help!
